Outsite Launches AllPoints Rewards

"Location-aware" mobile app designed to be c-store industry's Urbanspoon, Flixster

NORFOLK, Va. -- Outsite Networks Inc. has launched AllPoints Rewards--a first-of-its-kind mobile application for the convenience store industry. AllPoints is the c-store industry's equivalent to restaurant guide Urbanspoon and movie review site Flixster, the company said. It brings together features of many leading mobile applications into one consumer experience, centered on participating c-store and manufacturer brands.

With AllPoints, consumers can access mobile deals, find businesses and attractions and earn rewards for visiting and shopping; they can also donate rewards points to select charities. The app knows where consumers are based on their phone's GPS location and features "location-aware" deals, promotions and rewards.

The AllPoints Rewards C-store MobileNetwork links the c-store consumer base, c-store retail market and CPG manufacturers into one environment.

Retailers have a mobile application where their brand is featured. They promote store locations, private-label products, fuel brands, foodservice items and other specialties. They present deals and monthly store promotions. They also reward their loyal consumers throughout the community. The app functionality supports deals, promotions and rewards based on schedules, by store, time of day, day of week--all while controlling the quantities of deals offered by location, by schedule or by mobile phone user ID. When combined with Outsite's loyalty application (LoyaltyNetwork), deals and rewards can be targeted by consumer based on purchasing history and basket content.

Manufacturers create "location aware" mobile offers to reach their consumers industry-wide with precise scheduling, targeting and product distribution capability. Mobile offers claimed are validated with POS transactions when used in conjunction with Outsite's LoyaltyNetwork. It also gives manufacturers the ability to target consumers based on purchasing history and basket content. Offers can include product clubs, random rewards, check-in based rewards, cross promotions and upsell promotions. They too can be targeted by consumer based on purchasing history and basket content.

Consumers receive retailer and manufacturer offers and rewards on their phone. They can share them via Twitter, Facebook and email from within the app. In addition, consumers will use the app as their local mobile yellow pages and have instant access to Yelp information, Google Places information and Google Offers.

In anticipation of Google Wallet, the application is fully integrated with point-of-sale (POS) transactions, NFC-enabled mobile phones, NFC phone stickers and NFC tags. Outsite Networks has issued more than six million NFC tags and has processed more than two billion transactions to date.

AllPoints will officially launch at the NACSShow, October 1, 2011. The iPhone version will be available in the Apple iTunes App Store then. The Android version will be available in the Android Market later this year.

Norfolk, Va.-based Outsite Networks offers loyalty marketing to the c-store industry and remains the leading c-store loyalty provider, with millions of members, a database of more than two billion transactions, and hundreds of convenience retail operations as loyalty partners at thousands of locations throughout North America.
