PDI Acquires ERP Software Provider

Purchase expands reach within petroleum supply chain

ATLANTA -- PDI Software has acquired DM2, a privately held enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider with headquarters in Vancouver, Wash. PDI acquired the company to deepen its ability to serve the petroleum wholesale sector.

Specifically, the acquisition will add to the company’s cardlock and lubricants knowledge and provide PDI with a regional presence in the U.S. West Coast.

DM2 was founded nearly 30 years ago and provides ERP automation software for more than 200 customers. PDI will acquire DM2’s intellectual property, development and support resources.

“We are pleased to add DM2’s clients, employees and expertise to our existing portfolio,” said Jimmy Frangis, CEO of PDI. “The addition of DM2’s software further demonstrates our commitment to the wholesale petroleum industry, expanding our professional services team and developing our presence on the U.S. West Coast. DM2 has hundreds of great clients, and we look forward to serving their business needs for years to come.”

The acquisition of DM2 comes less than two months after PDI announced its acquisition of loyalty marketer Excentus and marks its ninth acquisition in the last year and a half.

“Since 1989, DM2 had a clear strategy of providing integrated and automated solutions for petroleum marketers that enabled the company to do more with less resources and manage by exception to better control operations. DM2 tailored its software to meet specific core petroleum distribution needs and partnered with best-in-class solution providers to provide fully integrated solutions,” said Scott Burkard, CEO of DM2.

“Our goal is to continue bringing together the best people, applying the best processes and combining the best products, so we continue to be a relevant and valued partner for our customers, while preparing them to meet the demands of tomorrow’s tech-driven world,” said Frangis.

With its international headquarters in Atlanta and its U.S. headquarters in Temple, Texas, PDI works with convenience-store retailers and petroleum wholesale marketers worldwide with enterprise management software.
