"We have over 325 companies on PDI/Enterprise and PDI/Resource Management Series software," said PDI's president, Greg Gilkerson. "These companies are doing business electronically in ways that were not possible before. By getting these thought-leaders together, [image-nocss] there is a real synergy as our user community learns how to operate their businesses at maximum efficiency. That's crucial anytime, but especially in today's tough financial climate."
Bruce Snyder, manager of retail automation for La Crosse, Wis.-based Kwik Trip, said, "We enjoy learning PDI's strategic product direction."
Patrick Abernathy, director of information technology for Meridian, Idaho-based Jacksons Food Stores Inc., added, "It is important to come together with fellow industry participants who are all using a common platform to network and share best practices."
And Earl Milam, PDI's vice president of product development, said, "Idea Exchange is a key event to share our development plans and to seek input about our strategic direction."
As in previous years, PDI Idea Exchange was held just prior to the NACStech Exposition, also held in Dallas.
PDI provides software, hardware and professional services to convenience retailers and wholesale petroleum marketers. Worldwide, more than 300 companies and more than 20,000 retail locations rely on PDI's systems for retail automation, fuel and warehouse management, business intelligence, financial reporting and employee selection and training.
