Petroleum Card Services Partners With CIOMA

Deal extends membership to retailers

MINDEN, Nev. -- Petroleum Card Services (PCS), a provider of payment-processing solutions geared specifically to independent petroleum and convenience-store owners, has partnered with the California Independent Oil Marketers Association (CIOMA). The partnership brings exclusive membership benefits to CIOMA's network of independent wholesale and retail marketers of gasoline, diesel, lubricating oils and other petroleum products; transporters of those products; and retail c-store operators.

"We're excited for the opportunity to provide all CIOMA members with a reliable and trustworthy solution for their card processing needs," said Lori Griboski, vice president of sales for PCS. "We have been working with CIOMA and their member network for over 15 years and have a great feel for what their needs are as their payments partner. PCS' industry-leading customer support, low cost processing and secure payment solutions are key benefits we'll deliver to all of CIOMA's members."

"PCS has always been a great partner for CIOMA and a great vendor for our members," said Catherina "Trina" Isidro, deputy director of CIOMA. "We know that their commitment to our industry and their subject-matter expertise are exactly what our members look for when evaluating a new payments provider. Their reputation speaks for itself."

Founded in 1999, PCS provides solutions for thousands of direct customers and hundreds of resellers and referral partners. PCS is one of the largest remarketers of First Data's Buypass network in the U.S. Leveraging years of experience in petroleum processing, PCS specializes in working with independent owners of unbranded gas stations and c-stores, the company said. Acquired by iPayment Inc. in 2005, PCS continues to operate as an independent business unit from its headquarters in Minden, Nev.

Founded in 1952, CIOMA, Sacramento, Calif., is a statewide industry trade association. The majority of its members are small-business owners.
