Pinnacle Joins Intura Solutions as Limited Partner

Deal offers retailers more foodservice options

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp. said it has joined Intura Solutions LP, as a limited partner. Intura is a developer of point-of-sale (POS) and business management solutions for the quick-service and delivery segments of the restaurant industry.

"Our partnership with Intura means our clients can look forward to a number of newsolutions centered around casual and quick-serve foodservice," said Bob Johnson, president and CEO of Pinnacle, Arlington, Texas. "These solutions offer a foodservice dimension that can be extremely profitable for convenience [image-nocss] store retailers. They can reach out to grab-and-goers looking for fresh prepared food and not have to depend solely on tobacco or gas to drive customer traffic."

Pinnacle's QuickServant food cost control software provides information to quick-service restaurant operators. With this new partnership, a more feature-rich solution is underway, including the production of a road map for the next-generation QuickServant product, which both companies look forward to announcing in mid-September.

"The history of our companies has closely paralleled each other in the two vertical markets of convenience and foodservice," said Gary Peek, President of Intura Solutions. "Integrating our software technologies to work more closely together is being driven by mutual customers as the trend towards merging convenience and foodservice operations continues to grow."

Intura Solutions, also based in Arlington, offers Intura Vision, a restaurant POS and management system, and Intura Enterprise, a web-based portal for centralized multi-site management of data, reporting and marketing. In addition to providing turnkey systems, Intura offers professional services including staging, deployment, installation, training and support.

Some of Intura's clients include Hungry Howie's Pizza, Dunkin' Donuts, Garlic Jim's Famous Gourmet Pizza, Pizza Plus, Ba-Da Wings!, Jet City Pizza, Topper's Pizza, Mr. Jim's Pizza, and Pizza Inn. In 2001, Domino's Pizza selected the Vision software product as its next-generation store system now known as Domino's Pulse.

Pinnacle is a major supplier of automation technology to the c-store and petroleum industries, offering products that automate the tasks of c-store operations and supply chain management of fuel operations.
