Pinnacle Recognized for Excellence in BI Reports Design

MicroStrategy honors tech firm for enterprise performance management solution

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp., a leading supplier of automation technology to the convenience store and petroleum industries, has announced that it has been recognized as an Excellence in Dashboard Design winner for its enterprise performance management (EPM) business intelligence solution.

At the annual MicroStrategy World conference held in Las Vegas in January, Pinnacle's most recently completed EPM business intelligence dashboard was selected as "Excellence in Dashboard Design" winner, chosen amongst some of the world's leading technology companies for abilities to compile and deliver powerful business intelligence data into easy to use graphical formats for use by all levels of corporate users.

Pinnacle's winning feature focused on bringing together fuel delivery data, analyzing purchases, invoices and driver efficiencies, to provide a visual and informative dashboard.

"The Pinnacle team did great work to combine all of the elements that we feel make a great information dashboard!" said Michael Rahm, product manager at MicroStrategy.

Pinnacle's EPM solution manager, Jane Sinn Gabriel, described the effort. "In a few simple steps, a user can assemble any dataset and create multiple tiers of analyses and graphical illustrations in a package that is usable and useful. The introduction of these new tools makes Pinnacle's EPM solution better for Pinnacle clients. We are thrilled to be recognized for this success."

EPM is a customizable business intelligence solution that can be used from any location, by all departments and levels of personnel in a business. Web-based reporting and automated email functions give a quick and accurate view of key performance indicators that allow the user to make fast, informed business decisions. It allows them to know what is selling in stores, as well as who is selling what, at any given moment; to get fuel and merchandise sales data at item level, market basket analysis and profitability trends; and to get real-time access via web browser or have remote reports pushed out to email or mobile devices--scheduled reports, exception reports and dynamic dashboards.

Tysons Corner, Va.-based MicroStrategy was founded in 1989 and has grown to become a leading independent public business intelligence software vendor. It is a leading global provider of enterprise software platforms for business intelligence (BI), mobile intelligence and network applications.

Arlington, Texas-based Pinnacle provides automation technology to the rapidly evolving convenience store and petroleum industries. It delivers products that automate the broad spectrum of c-store operations and supply chain management of fuel operations. Nationwide, Pinnacle's products and services are used daily in thousands of convenience outlets to automate and improve their store operations and by fuel marketers to increase their efficiency in the complex management of fuel delivery.
