Seeking to differentiate brand through mobile app, web

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- Gasoline and convenience store retailer Redwood Oil Co. has launched its new digital and mobile marketing strategy, partnering with OpenStore by GasBuddy to build customer loyalty and drive in-store sales.

OpenStore gives Redwood Markets the ability to reach drivers through a branded mobile app, individual store web pages, mobile coupons and social media that include Facebook and Twitter.

Redwood Oil's president, Julie Van Alyea, is committed to differentiating her brand, Redwood Market, starting with freshly prepared food offerings such as the c-store chain's Aztec Grill and Krispy's Chicken. The partnership with OpenStore takes that commitment to standing out in their customers' eyes another leap forward, it said.

Rohnert Park, Calif.-based Redwood Oil, operating under the Redwood Market and Chevron brands, is a gasoline and convenience store retailer with 22 locations across northern California. It has been family owned and operated since 1972.
