A Reflection of the Industry We Serve

CSP Daily News, CSPTV win "Best of the Web" awards
OAK BROOK, Ill. -- CSP Information Group's CSP Daily News has been honored as the top Email Newsletter in min's 2009 "Best of the Web Awards," which recognize outstanding websites and digital media within the magazine publishing arena. Additionally, CSPTV's 2008 NACS Show Video coverage was an Honorable Mention within the Magazine-Branded Show (B2B) category.

"CSP Daily News takes much of the content of the website and delivers it in a well-formatted platform. There is enough content embedded in the features for rushed businesspeople looking for [image-nocss] breaking news, and the headline-rich sidebars give data miners direct access to almost every area of the site," said Steve Smith, digital media editor for min.

"This award epitomizes the opportunities that arise when a talented editorial and web development team is matched with a supportive advertising community and a loyal base of readers," said CSP internet group publisher John Callanan. "And considering CSP Daily News was competing with major consumer brands as well as B2B titles for this award, it is especially gratifying."

"We've worked hard at CSP to be ahead of the media curve," said CSP group editor Mitch Morrison. "Today's readers demand a media that is portable, interactive, informative and solutions driven. That's what CSP Daily News strives for each and every day. That we've been recognized by our peers is rewarding, but more important is that we stay relevant to our readers in the convenience and retail petroleum channels."

CSP Daily News, the convenience store industry's must-read daily e-newsletter, delivers news to nearly 30,000 convenience industry executives every business day. CSP Daily News is in its ninth year of publication and was the first online daily e-newsletter for the convenience retailing industry.

CSPTV is the convenience retail channel's only regularly scheduled video news program featuring exclusive interviews with key industry executives, convenience store tours, conference and event footage. Launched in 2007, CSPTV has produced nearly 300 features and is available within CSP Daily News e-newsletter as well as the company website at www.cspnet.com.

Honorable mentions within the e-newsletter category were Self magazine's "Recipe of the Week" e-newsletter, RCR Wireless News for RCRWireless.com "Strategic Site Re-architecture Project," Thestreet.com's "Bell Series & Veterinary Learning Systems' Tech Talk." CSPTV was an honorable mention along with "InformationWeek Business Tech Network for Information Week's Start Up City TV. Taking the honor was Tech Web for Internet Evolution in the Magazine-Branded Show (B2B) category.

Time, Newsweek and Forbes.com were among many others honored within various categories of min's 2009 Best of the Web Awards. The winners and honorable mentions were announced on March 18, 2009, in New York City.

Media Industry Newsletter's (min) Best of the Web Awards is the industry's top honor in the digital space, recognizing outstanding websites and digital initiatives among consumer and B2B magazines. The awards are presented by media market intelligence leaders min and min's B2B.
