COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Skyline Products Inc. said that it has licensed exclusive rights to a patent issued to Murphy Oil USA Inc. in November 2012 that addresses software used to determine and remotely transmit fuel prices to a store, including the point of sale (POS), pumps and electronic price signs.
The patent describes the critical aspects of the overall fuel price management process, which is marketed as PriceAdvantage SMART Fuel Pricing, where the software determines the price of a fuel product, sends those price changes to the store including the electronic price signs, the POS, and the pumps, and then verifies the completion of the change.
