Software Developer Tackles Mobile Commerce for C-Store Retailers

Company partnered with Conexxus to develop two new, open-sourced tools

PHILADELPHIA -- Stuzo, a digital product development firm, has partnered with Conexxus to release two new tech tools for the fuel retail industry.

The first is Stuzo’s Open Commerce Architecture, designed to help develop mobile commerce solutions for fuel retailers and convenience stores. The open architecture is meant to serve as a foundation for smoother and faster development of enterprise-grade mobile commerce solutions.

The second product is Stuzo QuickStart for Conexxus, an open simulator and dashboard to test Conexxus-compliant integrations to mock site systems, payment providers and processors, loyalty providers, mobile ordering and a virtual mobile app.

“Stuzo has contributed a valuable set of assets to the global fuel retail and convenience-store industry,” said Gray Taylor, executive director for Conexxus. “This innovation facilitates the adoption of our mobile commerce standards, adding value to the work of our membership.”

The digital product firm aims to make technical integration of Conexxus specifications easier. “Our hope is that this free and open tool helps accelerate Conexxus’ mission and enable a higher degree of standardization across the industry,” said Gunter Pfau, CEO of Stuzo.

Alexandria, Va.-based Conexxus is a nonprofit, member-driven technology organization dedicated to the development and implementation of standards, technologies innovation and advocacy for the convenience-store and petroleum market. Its membership collaborates on key industry challenges and innovations.

Philadelphia-based Stuzo is a digital product company focused on the c-store and fuel retail industries. It develops and builds mobile commerce and engagement solutions designed to increase customer visit frequency and average transaction value per visit for retailers.
