The latest version of the app includes several new features including the ability to see real-time Spinx fuel pricing. The technology does not stop there, however. Once users select their "favorite" Spinx store and fuel grade, the app will calculate in any Xtras rewards earned and display the price per gallon as compared to the street price on the home screen.

"Our Xtras customers want access to their rewards at their fingertips. Our new app takes that one step further and shows the customer what their reward discount means in terms of their personal fuel price, at their favorite Spinx store. The app makes rewards personal and customized just for them," said Stan Storti, president of The Spinx Co.

It also includes an amenities pages for each store, which provides details such as whether the store offers a full or limited deli menu, whether the store accepts BI-LO fuelperks! and which fuel grades the store carries.

The app also allows users to see a map or list of all stores and receive directions to any one of the stores, from their current location.

"Spinx is dedicated to evolving with our customers by providing them with the latest ways to access the information that they want," said Steve Spinks, CEO of The Spinx Co.  "We are very pleased to be able to provide this new version of the app to our customers. The new Spinx Xtras app provides a convenient solution to our customers looking to maximize their Spinx Xtras benefits."

A key feature that was part of the initial launch remains. The Spinx Xtras app allows customers who have linked their Xtras card to their checking account to use their Smartphone to scan, activate and complete a transaction at the pump or at the register inside the store. Customers automatically save five cents per gallon when they use the card as a method of payment.

The app is a free download in both the App Store and Google Play.

Based in Greenville, S.C., Spinx operates 78 convenience stores in South Carolina.
