Rutter’s is an industry leader in c-store design, sustainable construction, retail technology, restroom focus and foodservice innovation. The company has earned honors for design, foodservice and mobile technology.
Rutter’s is perhaps best known for its foodservice. The menu includes made-to-order subs and wraps, burgers, seafood, salads, Mexican fare, bowls, pizza and breakfast sandwiches. It also features trend-driven items and local favorites such as pork belly and pepperoni rolls.
The chain has also been rolling out coffee bars with espresso drinks, frappes, iced lattes and fruit smoothies, as well as specialty coffees. Stores typically feature an extensive menu, espresso bar, 12 gas fueling spaces, five high-speed truck diesel fueling spots, seating for 30 and free Wi-Fi. The stores are open 24 hours a day.
Rutter’s has been on a growth track, opening locations in West Virginia and Maryland in 2018. Thanks to its strong, employee-centric company culture, Rutter’s has also kept up its operational excellence as it grows: The chain placed first in the 2017 CSP/Intouch Insight Mystery Shop program.
