Mountain Empire Oil Co. operates Roadrunner Markets. Many of the stores fly the Shell gasoline brand, while others are branded BP and Sunoco.
Besides gasoline, several of the stations offer kerosene, diesel and racing gasoline. Customers can have their car washed at 14 locations that feature touchless or soft-cloth car washes. Roadrunner stores are all located in the southeast, and the majority can be found in northeast Tennessee. The chain's prototype store was designed to streamline its operations, expand foodservice and emphasize customer service.
