Terrible Herbst Oil Co. operates convenience stores, car washes, lube and emissions shops in Arizona, California and Nevada. The company also operates gaming facilities, often attached to the c-stores.

The family-run company’s well-known mustachioed “Bad Guy” cowboy logos have been fixtures of the Nevada landscape since the company’s 1959 founding by patriarch Edward Herbst. Target customers include both locals and tourists.

The average c-store size is 1,200 to 2,000 square feet. Herbst Market features a fuel station, gaming lounge and affordable groceries and merchandise. Terrible Herbst sells Chevron, Texaco and a private-brand fuel.
