H&S Energy Acquires 50 Convenience Stores

Northern California locations rebranded as Power Market and Extra Mile

Clarification: An initial version of this story reported that this deal involved 10 convenience stores. It actually is 50 c-stores.

ORANGE, Calif. -- H&S Energy LLC has purchased 50 convenience-store sites in Northern California from Tower Energy.

The former Tower Market sites in the Sacramento and East Bay areas have been rebranded as Power Market and Extra Mile, according to H&S Energy Executive Vice President Julie Jackson.

“We are currently developing our Power Market brand, including a Power Cafe, new fountain offer, interior graphics, interior/exterior POP (point of purchase) and website,” she said.

On the fuel side, the locations have been branded Chevron.

Orange, Calif.-based H&S Energy LLC operates 100 c-store locations in California under the Chevron, Extra Mile, Shell and Power Market brands.

Torrance, Calif.-based Tower Energy previously owned 30 retail grocery and gas stores in Northern California that are leased to a Chevron dealer. It also operates its own locations in Southern California.
