Casey’s General Stores Inc. has purchased Wow! Foodmart LLC and its affiliated retail portfolio. The transaction includes seven convenience stores, one travel center and four liquor stores in central Kentucky.

These properties are located between Lexington and Richmond, with many situated along the heavily traveled Interstate 75 corridor.

  • Casey's General Stores Inc. is No. 3 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 ranking of convenience-store chains by store count.

Casey’s is rebranding the stores.

“We closed on this transaction in Lexington, Kentucky, and Richmond, Kentucky, in November 2024. Six of the locations are Casey’s with our iconic pizza and other prepared food offerings, and one location is our goodstop brand. We are excited to keep growing in Kentucky and welcoming guests to these stores,” a Casey’s spokesperson told CSP.

“Casey’s is acquiring top-tier retail assets that will further strengthen their growing footprint,” said Jeff Traub, partner at Downstream Energy Group (DEG), which served as the exclusive advisor in the successful sale of Lexington-based Wow! Foodmart. “The principals of Wow! Foodmart LLC and its affiliated companies have built an exceptional business.”
