Global Partners Picks Up a Mac’s C-Store

Retailer to convert location to Jiffy Mart brand

WALTHAM, Mass. — Global Partners LP is purchasing the Mac’s Valley Market convenience store in Warren, Vt., according to a report by The Valley Reporter.

The store, one of approximately 20, is owned by Sherman V. Allen Inc., Rutland, Vt.

When the deal is completed, Global Partners will convert the location to its Jiffy Mart brand, said the newspaper.

The Warren Select Board approved the new owners’ second-class tobacco and liquor license on July 13, the report said.

The store offers CITGO fuel.

Global Partners declined to offer CSP Daily News details concerning the transaction.

In December, Global signed an agreement to purchase the retail fuel and convenience-store assets of Consumers Petroleum of Connecticut Inc., Milford, Conn. The acquisition includes 27 company-operated gas stations with Wheels-branded c-stores in Connecticut. The transaction also includes fuel supply agreements for approximately 25 stations in Connecticut and New York.
