Legacy Markets has completed the acquisition of 10 PowerTrac convenience and liquor stores, the Hendersonville, North Carolina-based company said Tuesday. The acquisitions mark the company’s entry into South Carolina and doubles Legacy Markets total store count to 20 locations.

The company said its stores are now concentrated in southwestern North Carolina and northwestern South Carolina.

Legacy Markets said it plans to rebrand the newly-acquired locations under its Triangle Stop banner in the coming months. The company said the locations will offer Marathon-branded fuels.

The company said it will upgrade food, beverage and merchandise offerings at the stores. Legacy Markets said it will also introduce its Triangle Stop loyalty program and mobile app to enhance the customer experience.

PowerTrac was founded by Ankur and Krishna Patel of Piedmont, South Carolina, who began with one location and grew the business to 10 locations.

“I want to congratulate Ankur and Krishna on the successful business they built. We are excited to welcome their team members to the Legacy Markets family,” Jack Helmick, CEO of Legacy Markets said. “We look forward to bringing our fast, friendly, and local philosophy to the Piedmont area.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
