Little General Stores has acquired five convenience stores from U-Save. The stores are in Nicholas County in West Virginia, Little General Stores said Monday in a news release. 

“We are thrilled to welcome these five U-Save locations into the Little General family. Our expansion in Nicholas County allows us to serve even more West Virginians with the convenience, quality and care they deserve,” Greg Darby, president of Little General Stores, said. “Little General has always been committed to growing in ways that strengthen communities, and these new stores will help us continue to deliver the essential services people rely on every day.”

  • Little General Stores Inc. is No. 60 on CSP’s2025 Top 202 ranking of the top convenience-store chains in the United States. 

The newly acquired stores are in Mt. Nebo, Summersville, Craigsville, Canvas and Richwood, West Virginia. Little General assumed operations of them on Dec. 1 and 2. 

The deal reinforces Little General Stores’ commitment to service West Virginia communities by providing clean, well-stocked stores, friendly service and expanded food and fuel options across the region, the Beckley, West Virginia-based company said. Little General Stores said it looks forward to supporting the teams who will join the “LG family.”

Little General Stores has 114 locations across Appalachia. It is also a fuel distributor for Exxon and Marathon, as well as a single Sunoco location. It partners with quick-service restaurants like Subway, Arby’s, Godfather’s Pizza, Taco Bell and buffalo Wild Wings Go.
