LV Petroleum, a travel center operator and franchisee of TravelCenters of America (TA), has acquired two travel centers in Missouri from Wilmoth Oil Co. LLC, Mount Vernon, Missouri.

Ozarks Travel Center in Mount Vernon is a full-service, TA-branded travel center with 225 truck parking spots, nine diesel lanes, three truck service bays, six showers, three food concepts (Wendy’s, Subway and barbecue) and 26 gasoline multi-pump dispensers (MPDs).

TA Strafford, in Strafford, Missouri, is a full-service TA-branded travel center with 130 truck parking spots, eight diesel lanes, two truck service bays, eight showers, two food concepts (Taco Bell and Subway) and four gasoline MPDs.

“This strategic acquisition is a transformative step for LVP as we continue to deliver on our promise to provide exceptional service and innovative solutions to travelers. These travel centers represent key hubs for convenience and connectivity, and we are excited to integrate them into our network” said Quyntyn Johnson, president of LV Petroleum.

Based in Las Vegas, LV Petroleum has expanded its presence in the travel center industry through strategic acquisitions and partnerships. In 2024, LVP acquired a multi-site travel center portfolio (Railroad Pass Travel Center and Eldorado Pass Travel Center) located outside of Las Vegas, along with other single-site acquisitions throughout the United States. As of January 2025, LVP operates 30 travel centers, has six large-format, new-to-industry (NTI) travel centers under development and a growth pipeline consisting of single-site acquisitions. It also has 71 quick-service restaurants under 22 franchise food brands, including Arby’s, Bojangles, KFC, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Dunkin’ Donuts, Black Bear Diner, Sbarro, Carl’s Jr., Jimmy John’s, Subway and more.

In addition to its travel center operations, LVP operates 35 convenience stores located in Nevada and Arizona. The company provides services and amenities across 17 states.

“LVP is acquiring two high-profile travel centers that will further strengthen their growing footprint throughout the United States,” said Jeff Traub, Partner at Downstream Energy Group (DEG), which provided exclusive merger-and-acquisition (M&A) advisory services to LV Petroleum.

Westlake, Ohio-based TravelCenters of America is part of the bp portfolio. It has more than 280 locations nationwide.

Jonesboro, Arkansas-based DEG provides M&A services to convenience store, travel center and wholesale distribution companies within the downstream energy sector. It conducted a strategic review of the target acquisition, which included providing valuation services, designing, implementing and managing the acquisition process.
