Majors Management LLC has acquired 35 retail fuel and convenience-store locations across Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania from Circle K owner Alimentation Couche-Tard, the Lawrenceville, Georgia-based company said on Tuesday. Majors Management said it will rebrand the stores to MAPCO over the coming months.

Couche-Tard divested the stores so it could acquire GetGo Cafe + Market from supermarket chain Giant Eagle. The Federal Trade Commission approved Couche-Tard’s acquisition of GetGo Cafe + Market on Thursday, and the $1.57 billion deal closed Sunday. To resolve antitrust concerns, the FTC required the divestiture of 35 gas stations to preserve competition in the affected markets.

“These stores are an exciting strategic addition for Majors Management, and we are thrilled to expand the MAPCO brand into Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania,” said Ben Smith, president of Majors Management. “We are honored to serve customers in three new states and welcome them to the MAPCO experience, which combines quality fuel, great food and beverage selections and the convenience and rewards customers love.”

MAPCO was previously a subsidiary of Santiago, Chile-based Compania de Petroleos de Chile (COPEC). In 2023, Majors Management and Couche-Tard split up MAPCO Express stores, with Majors Management acquiring 192 MAPCO-branded convenience stores in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Arkansas and Kentucky.

MAPCO said shoppers can look forward to grab-and-go meals, fresh coffee, quality fuel and exclusive savings through MY Reward$— a program that lets customers earn points on every purchase and redeem them for discounts at the pump or in-store.

The company said it plans to retain existing employees “wherever possible” and invest in upgrading these facilities.

MAPCO owner Majors Management LLC, is an owner, developer and operator of convenience stores and a distributor of branded and unbranded motor fuels.
