Maverik earlier this month held a community event at a newly rebranded Colorado Springs Maverik convenience store to offer an update on the conversion process. Maverik, which acquired Kum & Go in 2023, started rebranding stores in Colorado in February.
Thus far, Maverik has rebranded 27 stores in Colorado Springs in three months and is “on track to complete 93 rebrands across the state in August,” the Salt Lake City-based company said, adding that this will bring Maverik to operating more than 124 stores in Colorado with more than 2,200 employees.

At the event Aug. 2, Maverik presented a $25,000 donation (pictured) to Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center in recognition of their work supporting military, veterans, individuals and families in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. Maverik’s donation will help Mt. Carmel “fill their five food pantries in the Springs and rural areas including Pueblo, Trinidad, Westcliff and Monte Vista,” said the company, which in July named Crystal Maggelet the company’s new CEO and new adventure guide.
There also was a media question-and-answer session at the event that addressed Maverik’s rapid expansion through its rebranding. Maverik said it clarified that the choice to rebrand in Colorado “allowed the adventure-themed, family-owned brand to serve even more Colorado customers with what they already love about Maverik, including awesome values of fuel, snacks and drinks galore, great food, a clean and welcoming stop, unforgettable service and adventure.”
Maverik will host another community event at a newly rebranded Denver store Aug. 23 in celebration of the completion of its Colorado rebrands. The event “will welcome new and existing customers and offer a flavor of the Maverik experience and showcase the store’s exciting new look,” the company said.
