Sunoco LP has acquired 36 convenience stores from Pops Mart Fuel LLC.

American Business Brokers and Advisors, the Fort Myers Beach, Florida-based firm that provided merger and acquisition advisory services to Pops Mart Fuel, shared on Sunday that the sale was completed.

Cayce, South Carolina-based Pops Mart fuel has 54 c-stores located in North Carolina, South Carolina and Wisconsin. It expanded into Wisconsin in 2023 with the acquisition of Scully Oil, Lyndon Station, Wisconsin.

Pops Mart Fuel CEO Don Draughon said the company had considered acquiring more dealer sites and growing their footprint when they were approached by Sunoco, American Business Brokers and Advisors said. The synergies between the two companies compelled him to consider the sale. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

This raises Dallas-based Sunoco’s U.S. store count to about 310. In November, Sunoco closed on a $9.1 billion acquisition of Calgary, Alberta-based Parkland Corp.

Sunoco said in its 2026 guidance that it has a "multi-year path of bolt-on acquisitions totaling at least $500 million annually." The company did not provide further details on what it planned to do with the newly acquired stores.
