Cover Story: Trader Joe's Snack Taste Test

From sweet-potato chips to roasted seaweed, mixed nuts to vanilla-crème cookies, Trader Joe's has proven itself one of a kind in developing its lineup of private-label products.

Here, CSP grades 14 of the treats we picked up at one of the specialty-grocery chain's stores.

The best for our money? Simply Almonds, Cashews & Chocolate Trek Mix, which was fresh and flavorful. And while none of the products earned a grade of worse than a B-, the Cinnamon Apple Snack Sticks was our one bad apple.
