Michigan c-store jerky outlet scores big by targeting hunters.

Being a jerk is bad. But for one convenience store turned jerky outlet in Dundee, Mich., the transition to predominantly meat snacks has meant a  winning bump in sales.

The site had been a traditional, Marathon-branded c-store for about seven or eight years, when Paul Lyons approached co-owners Sam Kassem and  Mike Abdullah about the potential of refocusing its inventory to cater to traveling hunters and outdoors types.
