A veteran’s best friend: Casey’s General Stores has embarked on a new partnership with K9s For Warriors, a provider of trained service dogs to military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury and other invisible wounds of war at no financial cost to the veterans. Casey’s has funded the training of a future service dog named “Casey,” who is projected to graduate with her veteran in San Antonio in October. Since its founding in 2011, K9s For Warriors has matched more than 1,100 military veterans with trained service dogs, many of which are rescued, making it the largest rescue-to-service dog program in the country. —Greg Lindenberg

Meet Nerds Juicy Gummy Clusters—still rocking that crunchy Nerds shell and chewy gummy center, but now with a burst of juice in the middle for an extra pop of flavor. The new juicy clusters are hitting select shelves now and will be rolling out nationwide soon in 2.65-ounce, 4.5-ounce and 7.15-ounce packs, with a suggested retail price between $2.49 and $6.49. Nerds is also dropping two limited-time flavors to its original cluster line: Cherry Lemonade Blitz and Berry Punch Rush. These fruity new additions come in 3-ounce, 5-ounce and 8-ounce packs, priced between $2.49 and $6.49. —Rachel Gignac

Cue the boring! To reduce youth appeal, e-cigarettes should be sold in plain packaging, a new study finds. Published in the British journal Lancet Regional Health, the study found that plain packaging of vape pods reduces young people’s interest in trying them but does not reduce interest among adults. “This is important research which illustrates how policymakers could better regulate vapes to protect children without damaging them as a quitting aid for smokers,” Hazel Cheeseman, chief executive of Washington, D.C.-based Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), said. The survey is from 2,770 young people in Great Britain who were shown either branded vape pod packs or standardized packs. —Diane Adam

What can I bring?: Loop Neighborhood Market is offering bottles of wine as its latest private-label product. With varieties such as sauvignon blanc and rose, the new wine bottles have playful labels that say, “I was told to bring some wine.” The Fremont, California-based convenience-store retailer launched its private-label line called Delish about a year ago in 2024 that includes a range of snacks, like chips, pretzels, chocolates and gummies. —Rachel Gignac

Oh no, there goes Toho: Godzilla will celebrate his 70th birthday through a collaboration with Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. PBR, in partnership with Toho International, will switch out its traditional can design for original new Godzilla-themed cans. The Godzilla cans are an evolution of Pabst’s art can series. For the Godzilla designs, Pabst tapped Cuban-American artist Peter Santa-Maria, aka "Attack Peter," to create four original images of Godzilla, Mothra, Mechagodzilla and King Ghidorah using his hard-carved linoleum block print technique. The images will be on PBR cans and boxes that arrive in stores in October. A limited number of cans will have a special blue atomic breath effect, which turns the can blue when it reaches a cold temperature. —Greg Lindenberg
