7-Eleven to Stock Independent Candy Brand

Torie & Howard Chewie Fruities stick packs are now available to retailers nationwide

NEW MILFORD, Conn. -- Organic candy brand Torie & Howard has reached the big leagues. The company has revealed that its Chewie Fruities Stick Packs are now available in select 7-Eleven locations and other convenience-store chains nationwide.

The 2.1-ounce stick packs are distributed through Temple, Texas-based McLane Co. and San Francisco-based Core-Mark, said Torie Burke, co-founder and CEO of Torie & Howard. Hawaiian 7-Eleven chains are carrying the stick packs as well as Torie & Howard’s 2-ounce hard candy tins through a local distributor, TransPac Group of Aiea. The hard candy tins are also available in all 66 locations of Weigel’s Farm Stores in East Tennessee.

Chewie Fruities Stick Packs, an ideal treat for on-the-go consumers, have a suggested retail price of $1.99 for 2-ounce packs and $3.99 for 4-ounce packs. Its flavors include Italian Tarocco Blood Orange and Wildflower Honey; California Pomegranate and Sweet Freestone Nectarine; Meyer Lemon and Raspberry; Sour Apple; Sour Cherry and Sour Berry.

The tin candies range in price between $3.99 and $4.99 and contain eight candies per 2-ounce can. Flavors include Tarocco Blood Orange and Wildflower Honey; California Pomegranate and Sweet Freestone Nectarine; Meyer Lemon and Raspberry; Pink Grapefruit and Tupelo Honey and D’Anjou Pear and Cinnamon.

New Milford, Conn.-based Torie & Howard produces organic candies. The company’s products are USDA-certified organic, kosher, allergy friendly and free of soy, wheat, gluten, nuts, dairy and artificial additives. Torie & Howard was launched in 2012 by Burke and co-founder Howard Slatkin.
