Arctic Zero Launches Low-Calorie Ice Cream

Seven flavors will be available this spring

SAN DIEGO -- Healthy-dessert brand Arctic Zero has added seven new Light Ice Cream flavors to its repertoire, available to retailers this spring.

Containing between 280 and 360 calories per pint and less than 2.5 grams of fat per serving, the flavors include:

  • Cookies & Cream
  • Chocolate Chunk
  • Peanut Butter & Chocolate Cookies
  • Mint & Chocolate Cookie
  • Vanilla Bean
  • Cookie & Brownie Dough
  • Toffee Crunch

The brand will also debut a new packaging design along with the frozen treats.

Amit Pandhi, CEO of Arctic Zero, said consumers’ concerns regarding artificial sweeteners has pushed the brand to use clean ingredients.

“Many of the lower-calorie ice creams in the category use questionable sweeteners like sugar alcohols that can cause bloating and digestion issues,” he said. “Arctic Zero Light Ice Cream is naturally sweetened with cane sugar.”

The brand is encouraging consumers to share their reactions to the new flavors via social media by tagging @MyArcticZero on Twitter or @ArcticZero on Instagram with the hashtag #RealSweetSummer. Those who do so may be randomly selected to receive all seven flavors once a month between May and August.

"While many people—particularly those with dietary restrictions—love our original whey protein-based, lactose-free Arctic Zero frozen dessert, others were looking for something more indulgent with a taste and texture like premium ice cream,” said Pandhi. “In the spirit of 'no taste bud left behind,' we set out to create a revolutionary everyday indulgence, a low-calorie ice cream that delights and truly satisfies."

San Diego-based Arctic Zero produces creamy and chunky ice cream pints and dipped ice cream bars without lactose, sugar alcohols, gluten or artificial ingredients.
