Atkinson Restructures Territories, Adds Managers

Ventura, Jones round out realigned sales team

LUFKIN, Texas -- Atkinson Candy Co. has realigned its sales management team. Eric Atkinson, company president, said the expansion and restructuring of the sales team allows for improved communication and better servicing of all accounts. "Our broker network is vital to the success of our company, and this reorganization enables us to work more closely with the brokers to ensure each account is given the attention it deserves," he said.

Atkinson welcomed back Jed Ventura as a regional sales manager. He will be based in Salt Lake City, handling the West Coast with additional [image-nocss] responsibility for select accounts in the South and Midwest, including Eby-Brown Co. LLC, AmCon and Core-Mark International.

Covering most of Texas and New Mexico will be Jeremy Jones, who will also continue in his duties of assisting with pricing, website management and working with the sales team on presentations for national accounts.

Ken Deecken continues in his role as regional sales manager based in Florida and
covering the East Coast and Southeast territories. He will be focusing on increasing Atkinson's participation in regional and national customer trade shows, conventions and conferences. He will also continue to assist in sales and marketing strategic plans.

Expanding the scope of business development and Midwest sales management, vice president of sales and marketing Doyle Huntsman remains focused on developing new business opportunities and expanding existing distribution. Based in Indiana, he is responsible for sales management in several Midwestern states and also works on strategic sales and marketing.

Atkinson Candy Co. has been manufacturing candy in Lufkin, Texas, since 1932. The company's brands, distributed worldwide, include Chick-O-Stick, Peanut Butter Bar, Long Boys Coconut, Chocolate Long Boys, Long Boy Jrs., Mint Twists, Soft Mint Twists, Fruitie Tootie, Peco Coconut Peanut Brittle, Rainbow Coconut Bars, Christmas Tree Mint Twists, Family Favorites, Rainbow Sticks, Mint Sticks, Assorted Sours, Old Fashion Peanut Brittle and Gemstone Candies by Atkinson.
