SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Blue Diamond is adding a new flavor to its almond lineup.

Spicy Dill Pickle almonds will be available in March online and in convenience and grocery stores.

A 6-ounce can retails for $3.49 and 1.5-ounce tubes sell for 99 cents. The almonds have 6 grams of protein per serving

The snack is part of the Sacramento, Calif.-almond marketer and processor’s Bold line. Spicy Dill Pickle almonds pair dill and spicy garlic in a balance of savory, spicy and sour seasoning, according to the company.

“Through rigorous research, we found a growing demand for dill and pickle flavors across food categories,” said Michael Burdeny, global head of marketing for Blue Diamond. “Combining zesty and vinegary flavors with our highest-quality California-grown almonds, Blue Diamond is excited to introduce a product that is unique and undeniably craveable.”

Blue Diamond has more than 20 flavors of almonds, such as Sriracha and Salt ‘n Vinegar, plus Oven Roasted varieties including Dark Chocolate and Toasted Coconut. It has more than 3,000 growers across California and is also known for brands such as Nut-Thins crackers and Almond Breeze almond milk.
