CHICAGO — Conagra Brands Inc. is providing cash bonuses to employees at its North American distribution facilities for their efforts to make and deliver food to millions of consumers during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Chicago-based company.

Full-time employees in the United States will receive $500 and part-time employees will receive half of that, with similar amounts provided to employees at distribution facilities in Canada and Mexico.

"Throughout this unprecedented time, the hard work and dedication of our supply-chain employees at all of our food production and distribution facilities has been truly inspiring," said Sean Connolly, president and CEO of Conagra Brands. "I thank each team member for their extraordinary efforts to meet the needs of consumers, achieve outstanding customer service levels and keep our plants operating effectively and efficiently."

Conagra, the maker of Healthy Choice, Slim Jim and Reddi-wip, is also paying employees who need to take off from work due to contracting the coronavirus. Conagra’s facilities are supplementing regular plant maintenance and sanitation practices with additional processes to ensure the safety of employees and the food they make.
