WESTBOROUGH, Mass. --Cumberland Farms has launched a line of private-label sweet snacks in honor of its 80th anniversary this year. Coined as Birthday Blast treats, the products include Premium Cookie Bites, Whoopie Pies, Premium Chocolate Bars and ice cream.

The Birthday Blast treats are available at all Cumberland Farms stores until Feb. 26. The ice cream pints are available for a suggested retail price of $3.99, while the Chocolate Bars, Whoopie Pies and Cookie Bites sell for 99 cents each.

Cumberland Farms has spent the past year bolstering its private-label food and beverages. In March 2018, the chain debuted its Farmhouse Select Premium Espresso Iced Lattes. The following August, Cumberland Farms added a Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino and Pumpkin Yogurt Muffin to its lineup. And in December, the chain rolled out its Eggnog Coffee and Peppermint Hot Chocolate.

"My grandparents started Cumberland Farms in 1939 with nothing but a cow and a dream,” said Ari Haseotes, CEO of Cumberland Farms. “Here we are 80 years later, and it's hard to believe how far we've come. Though years have passed, we've maintained our commitment to always do right by our guests. Our new Birthday Blast treats are in celebration of our success due to their continuing loyalty, and we hope our guests share in our celebration by enjoying these delicious birthday celebration treats when they visit our stores."

In addition to the Birthday Blast items, Cumberland Farms is launching an internal sweepstakes for its employees and is giving them an “80 free products” coupon booklet. The sweepstakes will award one team member every month with a new car and VIP tickets, airfare and spending money for various sporting events.

Westborough, Mass.-based Cumberland Farms is family-owned and -operated with more than 550 stores primarily in New York, New England and Florida. The chain ranks No. 15 in CSP’s Top 40 update of the 2018 Top 202 list of the largest c-store chains in the United States.
