MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills' Dunkaroos cookies, originally launched in the 1990s, were reintroduced in 7-Eleven stores in May and are now available to other convenience stores.
Dunkaroos are vanilla cookies packaged with vanilla frosting with rainbow sprinkles for dipping.
“We know people are looking for delicious comfort foods and even a little bit of fun,” said Dan Stangler, business unit director for indulgent snacks at General Mills, Minneapolis.
Dunkaroos originally hit the market in 1992 and left U.S. shelves in May of 2012 with requests from celebrities and nostalgic millennials to bring back the brand, according to the company.
The cookies and frosting come in 1.5-ounce packs for a suggested retail price of $1.49.
