
EG America now has an Express Case with new fresh food offerings, including an assortment of cold sandwiches in new clamshell packaging as well as new items from Chobani, Sabra, Hillshire Farm, Kings Hawaiian and more.

Fifty-four percent of consumers find cold case grab-and-go breakfast items somewhat or very important, according to CSP sister research arm Technomic, Chicago, in its spring C-Store Foodservice Update. Only two categories had a higher percentage: hot case/warmer items at 62% and bakery case items at 61%.
“Our new grab-and-go options are for guests looking for something quick, fresh and easy-to-eat,” said Kate Weisman, category manager of commissary. “We recognize our guests are busy and often eat on the road, especially during the summer, so these new delicious ready-to-go food options provide the ease, quality and variety guests are looking for at an affordable price."
EG America has also launched its Sensible Snacks program, with new snack options including brands such as Calbee Harvest Snaps, Jackson’s Sweet Potato Chips, Hippeas Chickpea Puffs, LesserEvil Popcorn and Garden Veggie Straws.

All EG America stores, including Cumberland Farms, Fastrac, Tom Thumb, Loaf N’Jug and Turkey Hill, are offering a buy one, get one 50% off promotion on all Sensible Snacks through June 24.
“The variety of snacks we offer has always been a popular selling point with our guests, many of whom are looking for tasty, on-the-go snacks,” said Mark Kurland, senior category manager of center store. “We’re confident our Sensible Snacks program will give our guests even more mindful snack options that are not only easy to find and convenient, but also reasonably priced.”

Founded in 2001 by the Issa family, Blackburn, United Kingdom-based EG Group is a gasoline forecourt and retail convenience operator with more than 6,200 sites across the United Kingdom and Ireland, Europe, the United States and Australia. In 2018, EG Group established itself in the United States as EG America by acquiring Kroger’s 762-site c-store network, which included the Turkey Hill, Loaf 'N Jug, Kwik Shop, Tom Thumb and Quik Stop banners.
