MINNEAPOLIS — Cinnamon Toast Crunch, a General Mills brand, launched CinnaFuego Toast Crunch, a sweet and spicy take on the cinnamon cereal.

The Minneapolis-based brand is offering CinnaFuego Toast Crunch for a limited time only.

The new cereal combines cinnamon and a spicy pepper kick. It is made with whole grain wheat and rice and comes in a 5.9-ounce resealable pouch for on-the-go snacking.

The brand is also hosting a #FeelTheFuego prank for consumers, where they are encouraged to film and post the reaction of family and friends after serving them the spicy cereal disguised as the original flavor.

“As CinnaFuego hits stores this fall, we wanted to make it easy for families to get in on the challenge,” said Mindy Murray, senior marketing communications manager at General Mills. “So, we created limited-edition CinnaFuego #FeelTheFuego Challenge Packs with all the necessities to prank an unexpecting snacker. We can’t wait to see how participants get creative and have some laughs when enjoying the hottest new cereal!”

Minneapolis-based General Mills Convenience & Foodservice serves the convenience, foodservice and bakery industries by providing products from trusted brands. Its brand portfolio includes Big G Cereals, Yoplait, Nature Valley, Gold Medal, Pillsbury, Chex Mix, Bugles, Gardetto’s and Annie’s.
