ROSEMONT, Ill. — Haribo revealed that Goldbears will add a limited-edition Watermelon single-flavor variety to its lineup to celebrate the company’s creation of National Gummi Bear Day on April 27. The holiday, established in partnership with the National Day Calendar, is a commemoration of the brand’s 100-year history.

“We're excited to establish National Gummi Bear Day on April 27 in celebration of Haribo Goldbears' 100th birthday,” said Jeff Schoenfield, director of marketing at Haribo of America Inc., Rosemont, Ill. “For the last century, Goldbears have brought moments of happiness to fans around the world, and we want to celebrate this milestone through inviting everyone to smile with us and remember what it's like to feel like a kid in a candy store again.

Two additional single-pack flavors are available now: Pineapple and Blue-Raspberry. The brand’s original mix is also featuring new packaging this year, with new Party Hat Mix Bags for the anniversary.

Haribo is also hosting Chewy Games, a giveaway where customers can enter to win one of four seven-day trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C.
