Hershey Exec Named 2007 All Candy Expo Vice Chairman

Joyce joins Ferrara Pan's Gilmore

VIENNA, Va. -- The National Confectioners Association (NCA) has named Tom Joyce, vice president of customer and industry affairs at The Hershey Co., as vice chairman of the 2007 All Candy Expo. He will serve with current All Candy Expo Chairman Michael Gilmore, vice president of brand development, chocolates, for Ferrara Pan Candy Co.
 

Joyce, currently serving on the executive board, has been actively involved with NCA for a number of years, serving in a variety of pivotal roles on both the international and trade relations committees as well [image-nocss] as subcommittees and tasks forces. He was also inducted into the National Confectionery Sales Association's Candy Hall of Fame in 2003.

Joyce joined Hershey as sales merchandiser in Louisville, Ky., in 1975. During his 31-year career there, he held a variety of positions, honing his sales and expertise in broker management and industry relations. He is also a five-time recipient of Hershey's President's Cup award for sales excellence.

Continuing chairman, Michael Gilmore, has more than 36 years of experience in the food industry, most recently retired after serving as COO at Ferrero USA Inc. for more than 17 years. He also brings both confectionery and snack experience to the table, having held positions at Colgate-Palmolive, Standard Brands Confectionery (Nabisco) and Nestle companies of Buitoni and Rowntree.

"The cross-section of the 2007 All Candy Expo Committee members, representing confectionery, snacks, gourmet and International products, mirrors the diversity of our EXPO and the caliber of show our customers are looking to attend," added Gilmore. Inc.

The 2007 All Candy Expo is slated for September 17-19 in Chicago.
