Hershey Introduces Air Delight With Sky-High Tasting Experience

Takes consumers, media aloft ahead of Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning

HERSHEY, Pa. -- To promote its new Hershey's Air Delight Chocolate, The Hershey Co. took several chocolate lovers on an exclusive hot air balloon ride and tasting experience yesterday. Participants ascended over the New York City skyline at the site of the Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning. The Hershey's Air Delight hot air balloon will also remain part of the annual festival, treating consumers to free rides and tastings of the new product.

Featuring twice-daily mass ascensions of up to 125 hot air balloons from around the world, the festival, New Jersey's largest, [image-nocss] attracts up to 175,000 people. The annual three-day festival, July 29-31 at Solberg Airport in Readington, N.J., is the largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival in North America and has been named as one of the Top 100 events in all of North America for 2011, Whitehouse Station, N.J.-based convenience retailer Quick Chek said separately in announcing the festival.

"We couldn't think of a better way to capture the essence of the new product than with a 'light and airy' hot air balloon ride while experiencing new aerated chocolate," said Anna Lingeris, spokesperson for Hershey's Air Delight brand and The Hershey Co.

Hershey's Air Delight Chocolate is available in 1.44-oz. single-serve take-home bars and 9.4-oz. bags of Hershey's Kisses Chocolates. New Hershey's Air Delight Chocolate is currently available and sold nationwide at mass, grocery, drug and convenience stores.
