LENEXA, Kan. — Hostess Brands LLCsaid that Travis Leonard will join the company as the chief financial officer on May 11, succeeding Mike Gernigin, who has been interim chief financial officer since November 2021. Gernigin will become the company’s chief accounting officer.

Leonard’s more than 25 years of global financial executive experience includes his most recent position as senior vice president and chief financial officer of the medical segment at Cardinal Health. There, he led a global finance organization supporting $16.7 billion in revenue for medical products, distribution and services business. He joined Cardinal Health in 2018 as corporate treasurer. Prior to this, Leonard served in finance and corporate audit roles at Cargill. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly 14 years in various finance roles across multiple businesses at Kraft Foods.
The transition comes at a time when Hostess aims to implement its long-term growth algorithm.
