Johnson's Corners the Market

Cinnamon rolls now available at Colorado, Utah 7-Elevens
LOVELAND, Colo. -- A sweet cinnamon roll, which is a staple in Northern Colorado's Johnson's Corner Restaurant, Bakery & Truckstop, are now available at 7-Eleven convenience stores throughout Colorado and Utah, according to a report by The Coloradoan.

Johnson's Corner opened in Loveland in 1952 and became famous for its oversized cinnamon rolls in the 1980s, said the report. Chris Harder, bakery and sales manager for Johnson's Corner, started targeting local coffee shops and gas stations to sell the sweet treat two years ago. Soon he got into talks with Walgreens, [image-nocss] and most recently 7-Eleven.

Harder said in December he started distributing the rolls through McLane Western to 7-Elevens in Colorado and Utah.

The cinnamon rolls are shipped to the 7-Eleven stores frozen, and then they are sold for $2.19, compared to $2.50 at the restaurant.

"With this economy the value is good, it's a big roll for your money," Harder said.
