M&M’s Reveals Flavor Vote Campaign Winner

The victor may enhance your breath

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- Remember M&M’s Flavor Vote campaign from a few months ago? Well, we have a winner.

Crunchy Mint will officially join the M&M's lineup later this month at retailers nationwide until February 2020. M&M’s Crunchy Mint contains dark chocolate and has a cocoa rice crisp center. The variety comes in a share size (2.83 ounces) and stand-up pouch (8 ounces). Crunchy Mint competed against Crunchy Espresso and Crunchy Raspberry. The three flavors were released as limited-time-only (LTO) flavors when the flavor campaign began in March.

"Our fans have spoken and once again played an influential role in choosing the next flavor of M&M's," said Allison Miazga-Bedrick, brand director for M&M's. "We love providing our fans with opportunities to have their voices heard, and we look forward to finding more ways to do so in the future."

This isn’t the first Flavor Vote campaign M&M’s has launched in recent years. In 2016, the brand let consumers vote on the top Peanut-flavored M&M, which came down to Original Peanut, Chili Nut, Honey Nut and Coffee Nut. With more than a million votes, Coffee Nut came out on top. Fans who voted also entered to win $100,000 and to become an M&M’s official taste tester.

M&M’s has been at the forefront of candy news in 2018, beginning when it aired a commercial starring Danny DeVito during the Super Bowl. In early July, M&M’s was named the second-most trustworthy brand among Gen Z and millennials in a survey conducted by New York-based research firm YPulse. And most recently, M&M’s was the top snack brand in London-based YouGov’s BrandIndex rankings, outpacing brands such as Quaker Oats, Pillsbury and Campbell’s.

Hackettstown, N.J.-based Mars Wrigley Confectionery is a unit of Mars Inc. Along with M&M's, its products include Snickers, Dove, Galaxy, Mars, Milky Way and Twix.
