JACKSON, Wis. — Supernola is rolling out new packaging and two new flavors of its snack clusters.

Supernola’s clusters of tree nuts, seeds and superfoods launched nationally in 2018. The approximately 1.5-ounce single-serve packages have an SRP of $2.79 to $2.99.

Dark Chocolate Nut Crunch and Banana Nut Crunch join the flavor lineup, which also includes Triple Berry Vanilla and Honey Sweet Goji. The new flavors are transitioning from Evolve Brands LLC’s Gorilly Goods brand, which will focus solely on nut and seed trail mixes in unique flavors.

Health-focused snack company Evolve Brands agreed to acquire Jackson, Wis.-based Gorilly Goods and Harrisburg, Penn.-based Supernola in 2018 and consolidate operations in the Jackson facility.

In addition to the new flavors, updated Supernola packaging design will elevate branding, improve communication on the brand’s take on clusters as an alternative to energy bars and focus on flavor callouts, according to the company. Icons will also clearly show the products are USDA certified organic, gluten-free, certified paleo and vegan.

“This shift in our portfolio supports our further alignment and expansion of the Supernola brand across all classes of trade,” said Mickey Burnett, vice president of sales and marketing. “It better communicates to both consumers and retailers the features of these uniquely delicious snacks.”

The new packaging will begin to reach shelves in October.

Evolve Brands is a mix of CPG industry leadership and product development expertise that creates on-the-go products that are nutrient-dense and delicious, according to the company.
