Otis Spunkmeyer Expands Grab-and-Go

Snack brand launches No Funky Stuff line for c-stores

LOS ANGELES -- Otis Spunkmeyer, a leading sweets brand, has introduced its new No Funky Stuff Grab-N-Go portfolio. The company has rolled out four new foods in convenient, individually wrapped packaging to be offered at convenience stores across the country.

This product debut comes on the heels of the company’s 2016 No Funky Stuff retail grocery launch and will be focused on the c-store market. Otis Spunkmeyer’s No Funky Stuff lineup is made without high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils, artificial colors and artificial flavors.

The new Grab-N-Go portfolio includes:

  • Chocolate Chunk Cookies
  • Iced Lemon Loaf Cakes
  • Cinnamon Crumb Loaf Cakes
  • Mini Brownie Bites

“Consumer research shows that people can’t resist a sweet snack to indulge in; it makes people happy,” said Charice Grace, brand manager for Otis Spunkmeyer. “We’re seeing that when it comes to snacking, consumers are looking to buy foods containing better-for-you ingredients, no matter where they are, which is why we are introducing our individually wrapped No Funky Stuff Grab-N-Go foods.”

Otis Spunkmeyer was recently recognized for its commitment in removing the “funky stuff” from foods by the National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA). The brand’s Iced Lemon Loaf Cake and Chocolate Chunk Cookie were named 2017 NAPPA award winners. For the launch of its Grab-N-Go portfolio, Otis Spunkmeyer is partnering with top convenience-store operators, distributors and associations such as the Asian American Trade Associations Council.

Los Angeles-based Otis Spunkmeyer, an Aryzta brand, has been in the fresh-baked cookie business and a leader in the sweet baked goods industry for 40 years.
