Skittles Gummies Hit Store Shelves

CHICAGO — Mars Wrigley U.S.' new Skittles Gummies hit shelves in Walmart stores Feb. 22 and will launch nationwide in other channels in May.

First revealed as part of its NACS Show "unboxing" in November, Skittles Gummies are launching in the candy's Original five fruity flavors and Wild Berry varieties.

Skittles Gummies are available in 5.8-ounce Peg Bags (suggested retail price $1.99-$2.69) and 12-ounce Sharing Size Stand Up Pouches (SRP $2.99-$3.69).

Originally rolled out in 1979, Skittles are bite-sized chewy candies with a candy shell available in five flavors: Strawberry, Grape, Green Apple, Orange and Lemon. The candies are made by Chicago-based Mars Wrigley U.S., part of Mars Inc., McLean, Va. With $40 billion in annual sales, Mars Wrigley produces several well-known candy brands, including Skittles, Dove, Extra, M&M’s, Milky Way, Snickers, Twix and more.
