Regional dairy-based convenience-store chain and ice cream maker United Dairy Farmers is partnering with snack food company Grippo Foods to launch Fun Food Crunch, a limited-time Homemade Brand ice cream flavor.
Both family-owned companies are based in Cincinnati. United Dairy Farmers owns Homemade Brand.
Fun Food Crunch features a buttered popcorn flavored ice cream mixed with a barbecue spice-infused caramel swirl and chocolatey, crunchy pretzel pieces for a sweet-and-salty treat, United Dairy Farmers said.
- United Dairy Farmers is No. 47 on CSP’s 2026 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.
“This collaboration brings together two hometown brands that share a commitment to quality, family values and creating products people love,” said Michael Ahmed, CEO of United Dairy Farmers. “Fun Food Crunch captures the spirit of both companies in a way that’s nostalgic, playful and uniquely Cincinnati.”
John Dourson, vice president of sales for Grippo Foods, said, “Grippos has always believed food should be fun, and that’s exactly what this collaboration is all about. Partnering with another family-owned Cincinnati institution like UDF and Homemade Brand allowed us to create something unexpected that honors our history while giving fans of both brands a new way to enjoy flavors they already know and love.”
Fun Food Crunch, which arrives in stores this week, will be available for a limited time in an exclusive co-branded 16-ounce pint at all 170-plus United Dairy Farmers locations and in Cincinnati-area Kroger stores, United Dairy Farms said.
Founded in 1940, United Dairy Farmers is a regional convenience-store chain and ice cream parlor with more than 170 locations across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
Grippo Foods has been in business for 107 years.
