Utz Brands Boosts Its Executive Team

Snack maker names chief growth officer and head of sales

HANOVER, Pa. — Snack maker Utz Brands Inc. promoted two members of its executive leadership team in an effort to “elevate Utz’s strengths and capabilities to new heights.

Shane Chambers (pictured above, left), who has worked as chief executive officer of Utz’s Truco and On the Border Division, was promoted to the newly created position of executive vice president and chief growth officer for Utz Brands Inc.

Mark Schreiber (pictured above, right), executive vice president and chief customer officer, sales and marketing, will become executive vice president of sales and chief customer officer, overseeing all aspects of sales as it relates to both distribution and customers.

“As we continue to grow as a public company, we believe that these changes to the team will continue to accelerate Utz’s ability to grow and evolve into a stronger company,” said Dylan Lissette, CEO of Utz Brands. “We continue to see strong sales momentum as we unlock new ways to grow our power brands across the U.S., and we look forward to the positive contributions these changes will bring to the business.”

In his new position, Chambers will be responsible for the Utz Brands’ marketing and branding teams, strategic growth initiatives, consumer facing innovation, and helping to source and execute on Utz’s merger and acquisition strategy. Chambers will continue to report to Lissette and will continue to oversee and manage the integration of Truco, acquired in November, into Utz Brands, while maintaining the sales of On the Border chips and dips brand.

Schreiber, meanwhile, will take on the added responsibility for the about $300 million of retail sales that are driven through Utz’s Truco an On the Border Division, as well as managing trade marketing/revenue management, and category/shopper insights. Schreiber joined Utz in the spring of 2017 as chief customer officer and has led the team in driving more strategic connections with the company’s retail partners at all levels, according to the company, while also elevating Utz Brands to win more consumers across more geographies and channels. Schreiber will continue to report directly to Lissette.

Utz Brands Inc., Hanover, Pa., manufactures a portfolio of savory snacks through brands Utz, On the Border, Golden Flake, Zapp’s, Boulder Canyon and more. Utz Brands became a public company this past year and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Aug. 31 under the ticker symbol “UTZ.”
