WAWA, Pa. — Wawa has removed two products containing Jif peanut butter from all of its convenience stores because of a voluntary recall issued by J.M. Smucker on select items sold in the United States and Canada.

The recall was based on a potential Salmonella contamination and is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Wawa stores carried two of the items:

  • Wawa 4.9-ounce Apple and Peanut Butter Dipper (all codes in all Wawa stores).
  • Jif 16-ounce Creamy Peanut Butter (UPC: 00051500255162, lot codes: 1274425-2140425).

The complete range of recalled products, distributed nationwide in retail stores and other outlets, have lot codes 1274425-2140425, which can be found alongside the best-if-used-by date. Products with these lot codes should be disposed of immediately.
