Wenzel’s Farm Eliminates Corn Syrup From Meat Sticks

Products sold online and at Kwik Trip, other retailers

MARSHFIELD, Wis. — A small-batch meat stick manufacturer has eliminated corn syrup from its line of snack sticks.

Wenzel’s Farm sells a variety of meat sticks, including beef, honey ham, teriyaki, spicy, pepperoni, taco and beef with cheddar. The company recently added Jalapeno Cheddar Beef Sticks to its portfolio. Wenzel's products are naturally smoked, gluten-free, contain no artificial flavors or MSG and now are made without corn syrup.

"Providing our customers with the healthiest meat snack possible is a key goal at Wenzel's Farm," said Wenzel's Farm President Mark Vieth. "Removing corn syrup from our current snack sticks is another step toward reaching this goal.  We're creating a healthier product without sacrificing flavor, and that's an exciting accomplishment."

The Marshfield, Wis.-based company said it uses quality cuts of protein-packed meat combined with years of experience and craftsmanship to create its meat snacks. It operates on the original farmland from which the brand originated in 1949.

Wenzel’s products are available online on its website and at locations such as Mills Fleet Farm, Kwik Trip and Tractor Supply. In March 2017, Wenzel’s acquired the Nick's Sticks snack brand. Besides meat sticks, the brand produces a variety of sausages and bratwursts.
