7-Eleven and Speedway, Irving, Texas, are now accepting Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) dollars as payment for orders made through last-mile delivery service Uber Eats.

  • 7-Eleven is No. 1 on CSP’s 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count.

Other convenience-adjacent retailers now offering SNAP payment on the app include CVS, Duane Reade, Family Dollar, Gopuff and Walgreens.

Uber Eats announced the expansion Wednesday, highlighting its goal to increase food access through digital delivery. The San Francisco-based company said it “remains dedicated to addressing food insecurity and fostering inclusive communities.”

To support the rollout, Uber Eats is offering free delivery on each customer’s first three SNAP orders. Eligible users can find SNAP-accepting vendors by tapping the SNAP icon in the Uber Eats app. The company is also offering a limited-time free trial of Uber One, its subscription service that provides access to discounts and exclusive offers.

“This expansion gives SNAP recipients access to tens of thousands of new stores—from national chains to local grocers—all through the Uber Eats app,” said Ofek Lavian, co-founder and CEO of Forage, a San Francisco-based payments platform that enables online SNAP transactions. “We're proud to power the technology behind it, helping more families use their benefits with confidence and convenience.”

Uber Eats said its network now includes 51 grocery and convenience retailers accepting SNAP online. Major grocers participating in the program include Albertsons, Wegmans, Meijer and more.

“We believe that everyone deserves the convenience of delivery,” said Hashim Amin, head of grocery and retail delivery at Uber, North America. “With this growing list of merchant partners, we can continue to provide access to the fresh food that families and individuals need—especially those without reliable transportation, for whom food delivery can be a lifeline.”
