ANKENY, Iowa --Casey’s General Stores Inc. has announced that the Casey’s app is now available for customers to order pizza, made-to-order sub sandwiches and appetizers.

Casey’s recently completed the implementation of online ordering in all of its convenience stores chain wide, and the app makes online ordering more convenient for customers using their mobile devices.

“Casey’s values our customers’ time and need for convenience,” said chairman and CEO Robert J. Myers. “We consider innovations such as online ordering and a mobile app additional ways we can make our products and services more accessible to our customers.”

Customers who download the app will be able to access special offers and promotions, check gas prices at nearby locations and play games for prizes. The app also has a feature that enables a customer to see the locations of all Casey’s stores between destinations along a planned travel route.

Online ordering is one of three major growth opportunities the convenience-store chain planned to focus on during its fiscal 2016, along with pizza delivery and 24-hour stores.

The new Casey's app is enabled by GasBuddy OpenStore LLC, Gaithersburg, Md. It is available for download on Google Play and iTunes stores.

Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey’s General Stores is a leading independently owned convenience store chain that owns and operates more than 1,900 stores in 14 states throughout the greater Midwest. In addition to gasoline, Casey’s stores offer a broad selection of products including made-from-scratch pizza and donuts.
